Manggis Indonesia

Manggis is a district in Karangasem Regency, Bali Province, Indonesia. Its area is 69.83 km². In 2002 , the population was 40,600. The Manggis sub-district is a coastal area on the eastern tip of the island of Bali, Indonesia, but its inhabitants are farmers. Even so, many residents migrate to Denpasar and even to Java and Lombok to earn a living. One of the villages, namely Ulakan Village, was once the capital of the temporary district of Karangasem, because the city of Karangasem was hit by volcanic ash rain due to the eruption of Mount Agung.
